Caring for your pet, every step of the way

We provide everything your pet needs, from routine checkups and vaccinations to surgery and specialist referrals. Have a look at what we offer below.

Consultations

A consultation is a chance for you to raise any concerns that you may have about your pet with one of our veterinary surgeons. Upon performing a clinical examination, they will discuss the available treatment options and provide advice about what you can do to keep your pet as happy and healthy as possible. Please get in touch with us if you would like to book an appointment.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations protect your pet against nasty diseases that can lead to serious illness. Your pet needs their core vaccinations every 12 months to stay protected. We also offer the Rabies Vaccination (required for international travel) and the Kennel Cough Vaccination for dogs that socialise frequently with other dogs.

Fleas, ticks and worms are parasites that can cause problems for your pet, including itching and diarrhoea. We have monthly and 3-monthly treatments available to keep your pet protected. You can also get these delivered to your door through one of our WVD healthcare plans.

Prescription Medication

Our veterinary surgeons are able to prescribe and administer a wide range of treatments for various conditions and illnesses. Any long-term medication is reviewed at regular intervals to ensure that the choice of treatment and dosage is still well-suited to the needs of your pet. Written prescriptions are available on request.

Microchipping

A microchip is a tiny electronic device that we implant under the skin and is a means of identifying your pet in the event that they go missing. As the owner, your contact details are registered alongside the microchip's unique identification number, which can be read using a special handheld scanner. It is a legal requirement for dogs in the UK to be microchipped and it is the owner's responsibility to keep the contact details up to date.

Neutering

Neutering brings several health and welfare benefits for your pet, including the prevention of unwanted litters and the elimination of the risk of certain cancers and pyometra. The time at which we deem it suitable to neuter your pet will be determined by their age, weight and species, so please get in touch if you would like to discuss this in further detail.

Dental Treatment

Dental disease is common in pets and can be very painful, but it is not always easy to spot without a proper examination. Regular dental checkups help us catch problems early. If treatment is needed, we can carry out everything from a scale and polish to extractions in-house.

Laboratory Analysis

We offer in-house blood tests, urine tests and cytology for rapid results. In certain cases, the veterinary surgeon may deem it necessary to send samples for external laboratory testing, including health profiles, biochemistry, histology and allergy testing, as a way of helping them come to a diagnosis.

X-ray and Ultrasound

X-ray and ultrasound scanning are non-invasive diagnostic imaging techniques that allow the vet to visualise internal anatomical structures and better understand your pet's condition. An ultrasound scan can be used to image soft tissue (e.g. heart, bladder etc.) whilst x-rays are typically used to diagnose bone fractures, although can be used for soft tissue imaging in some cases.

We are fully equipped to carry out a wide range of routine and non-routine surgical procedures. Our vets have extensive experience caring for animals under general anaesthetic. If your pet needs surgery, we will talk you through every step.
