Our Services
Wagtails Veterinary Practice provides veterinary care and related services from our premises at 102 Kings Road, Harrogate, HG1 5HH. Our services include but are not limited to consultations, vaccinations, surgery, dental care, diagnostics, and prescription dispensing.
Registration and Accounts
To receive veterinary services, you must register your pet with our practice. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date.
Appointments and Cancellations
We ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Repeated missed appointments without notice may affect our ability to provide timely care to all our patients.
Fees and Payment
- All fees for veterinary services are payable at the time of treatment unless otherwise agreed
- We accept payment by cash, debit card, and credit card
- Estimates can be provided for planned procedures; however, actual costs may vary depending on the treatment required
- We are not able to offer credit facilities, but we can provide information about pet insurance and our WVD Healthcare Plans to help manage the cost of veterinary care
Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions are available for ongoing medications. Please see our Repeat Prescriptions page for details on how to request a prescription. Medications will only be dispensed for animals under our care and that have been seen within the required consultation period.
Insurance
We recommend that all pet owners consider taking out pet insurance. We are able to submit insurance claims directly on your behalf in most cases. Please note that you are responsible for any excess or costs not covered by your policy.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact the practice manager in the first instance. We take all complaints seriously and will endeavour to resolve any issues promptly. You may also contact the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) if you wish to make a formal complaint about the professional conduct of a veterinary surgeon.
Limitation of Liability
While we strive to provide the highest standard of veterinary care, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes for any treatment or procedure. Veterinary medicine involves inherent risks, and results may vary between individual animals.
